Amanda Allen is the owner and principal practicing family law attorney at Allen Law Firm in Abilene, Texas. Amanda specializes in family law with an emphasis on divorces, custody disputes, child support cases, adoptions, child protective services litigation and providing mediation services as a certified mediator. She also serves as counsel for Hanna Allen, PLLC, in personal injury litigation. Amanda possesses the exceptional legal knowledge and experience to handle a vast array of life changing events. Her clients trust her to listen to their specific needs and desired results and to offer them individualized, competent, and realistic legal counsel.

Amanda has served Abilene, TX and the surrounding west Texas communities for over 12 years, including Dyess Air Force Base, and throughout the Interstate 20 corridor. She has close personal ties to the military and is proud to provide strong, credible, and reliable representation to our servicemen and women, along with their families.

Amanda was raised in Wichita Falls, Texas and attended Texas Tech University, at their main campus in Lubbock, TX, where she fell in love with West Texas. She graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors in Human Development and Family Studies. She earned her Doctorate of JurisPrudence from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law, now Texas A&M University School of Law, graduating in 2011 and immediately began practicing law in Abilene, TX the same year. Supporting and growing the youth of West Texas is a top priority for Amanda. She served on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Abilene from 2016-2019.

Amanda is married to personal injury attorney, Greg Allen, and together they share 6 children. Outside the courtroom, she is a full-fledged baseball mom who loves traveling, playing golf at Abilene Country Club with her husband, and spending time with family and friends.

Kalana Hudgins

Paralegal

Born and raised in Abilene, Kalana spent 14 years in banking before joining Allen Law Firm in 2019. She is a graduate of Cooper High School, and she holds a Paralegal Certificate and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Center for Advanced Legal Studies in Houston. Prior to coming to work for Amanda, Kalana was a client, so she knows from experience the stress clients can be under during these often-difficult times. Kalana's unique perspective also gave her a foundation with her attorney-boss, and she prides herself on having a very close relationship with Amanda. Kalana truly enjoys her job and loves assisting clients with all types of family law cases, including divorces, child custody cases, enforcements, adoptions, and Child Protection Court cases, as well as assisting during mediations.

Kalana is married with three children. She enjoys cooking, reading, spending time with her family, watching episodes of The Walking Dead on repeat, and volunteering with the children and youth programs at her church.
